Teachers' Advanced Study Institute: Inquiring Beyond Einstein

NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, July 17 - 28, 2006

A two-year program on physics of the universe for area high school physics teachers.

TASI Team Leaders:

Mablelene Burrell (GSFC), Jim Lochner (GSFC & USRA), Lubna Rana (GSFC & UMCP) and Carolyn Ott (Walter Johnson High School).

Basic Elements:

The goal of TASI is to provide teachers with an in-depth exposure to the cutting edge science of NASA's Beyond Einstein program whose goal is to uncover the deepest cosmological mysteries of the universe. Beyond Eisntein is especially well-suited fo rteaching science as inquiry. It provides and authentic context for appreciating science as an act of probing and discovery rather than a collection of facts.
